About
The distillery founders, Heather Bean and Jeff Copeland, have over 30 years of combined brewing experience and became inspired to try their hands at distilling after visiting many of the fine microdistilleries in Portland Oregon, such as Integrity Spirits and New Deal Distillery. Heather is chemical-mechanical-software engineer who enjoys metal work, making alcoholic beverages, and building stuff. Jeff is a scientist who’s been mixing cocktails since age 7 and comes from an eastern European family that knows good vodka.
Both Heather and Jeff share lifelong passions for Colorado, the outdoors, the environment, and a really good drink. On any given day, you’re likely to find Heather sneaking out of the distillery to go biking, kayaking, or on a run between brewery tasting rooms, and Jeff heading out to give Aikido lessons at nearby Colorado State University.
Thanks to all of our friends who are helping us immeasurably by providing their knowledge, time, enthusiasm, and encouragement as we work to get this distillery off the ground.
